Sides
Corn Maque Choux 2,80 €
Maque Chox, pronounced roughly as “mock shoe”, and was influenced by Native American and Cajun cultures. Ours is made with corn, bell peppers, tomatoes, and garlic.
Cornbread Stück 1,70 €
You can’t get more southern than cornbread, although it also played an important role in the diets of early settlers in the Northeast who didn’t have access to wheat. We have Native Americans to thank for introducing us to cornbread.
Hot sauce
The hot sauce you’ll find out our tables is Original Louisiana Brand made by Bruce Foods of New Iberia, Louisiana, and imported in limited quantities to Germany.
Nachtisch
Our desserts are made fresh by us, so we may not have everything available all the time. Please also ask your server for specials which may not be on the menu.
Dark Chocolate Brownie 3,10 €
We use a special blend of cocoa to make this brownie incredibly rich. Served with a spicy chocolate sauce and whipped cream.
Ms. Ferris’ Pound Cake 2,60 €
Pound cake was so-named because originally a pound of butter, sugar, flour, eggs, and milk was used. This recipe comes from Ms. Ferris, my 4th grade teacher who used to bring it to us in class as a special treat. After my mom tasted the cake, she asked for the recipe and started baking it at home on a regular basis. It has a hint of almond and vanilla flavor to make it more exciting than the original.
Lemon Bar 2,90 €
Creamy, crunchy, sweet, and sour–all at the same time! These lemon bars made with fresh lemon juice and a homemade shortbread base are sure to excite your senses.
Creole Cheesecake 3,60 €
American cream cheese was invented in upstate New York in 1872. The first New York-style cheesecake was baked soon after. In Louisiana, creole cream cheese was made by German dairy farmers who moved to Louisiana. We Philadelphia Cream Cheese for a unique recipe that you won’t find anywhere else.
Pecan Pie 3,40 €
To be honest, I didn’t like the taste of nuts as a kid, but then my grandmother convinced me to eat a slice of pecan pie. Ever since, I’ve been an addict, but to make it properly in Germany took some experimenting. We hope you love this pie as much as we do.
